On July 19, ACSI started summer courses in Ukraine. This time they are held on the Kyiv Christian University's campus. About 40 teachers from Christian schools of nine Post Soviet Union countries and Baltic states have arrived for participation.

Regional Director of ACSI Raymond Le Claire opened the courses. He informed the participants about programs of the courses and introduced them to the organizers and teachers. According to the plan of the first part of the program, lecturers - Professor Camille Bishop and Dr. Lee Hollar (USA) within 10 days of training will open the theme "History of God's activity," "Educational Psychology", "Ideology, philosophy and education." Methodist of ACSI Irina Sokolova (Minsk) will help participants to deepen the knowledge of practical psychology, comprehensively address the problems of relation of parents to the educational process in the Christian schools and talk about how learning styles affect the effectiveness of Christian education. On the use of communication technologies of 21 century in the modern Christian school, as well as on existing and new projects of the Center of educational programs will dwell upon worker of ACSI Mokrenchuk Elena (Kyiv).

In addition to the enrichment of the new information and practices, the course participants will be able to exchange experiences, to acquire the necessary methodological literature and make a fascinating tour of the capital of Ukraine - more than 1500-year-old Kyiv.
